    Hi all,

So i disabled McAfree internet securicrapity and my the performance of my computer has improved amazingly.

So I'm just wondering what other programs should I get rid of on startup?

I'm thinking crap like google desktop and Dell service should be gotten rid of, am I right?

I will attach 2 screen caps of my startup programs below and I'd greatly appreciate if you guys could tell me what to remove.

    Thanks.

In the second screenshot you can see AVG.

OP probably best to completly unstall mcaffe and just keep with AVG.

Rather than picking things to remove from the list you posted, disable everything except AVG & whatever software you need running for your wireless network card.
Your computer will work fine without anythin on that list

I was having a bit of a network issue, and the images didn't load for me at the time. Still, good to know.

    Start > Run > msconfig.

    Just type "msconfig" into search.

    Start > Run > msconfig.

Replace search for run if you're on Vista.

Depends on the version of the Start menu you're using.

Website I use to know what i can safely disable:

    http://www.sysinfo.org/startupinfo.html

While it doesn't have every single startup program, it has a huge amount...

Oh, also: Uninstall McAfee, stick with just the one Anti-Virus program...

I prefer Avast over AVG for free security but whatever.
