I've just had another very promising email from Africa and am just ringing up the travel agent. Does anyone want me to reserve a seat on the Airbus? The nice lady tells me not to tell anyone else, but I'm not a greedy bastard, so would like to share my new wealth with you boardsies.

"I am Senator Jewel Taylor, one of the political wives of former Liberian warlord and dictator, President Charles Taylor who Relinquished power to his vice President on the 11th of August 2003. Then went on United Nations imposed exile to Calabar, Nigeria, which the whole world was aware of it. Charles Taylor was arrested on the 29th of March 2006 in Northern Nigeria and extradited to Sierra Leone for trials of war crimes. He is presently in detention at the HAGUE WORLD COURT waiting for the determination of his case by the International Criminal Court of Justice in Hague.

After his arrest, the Liberia Government seized all his known investment, properties and freezes all his account both home and abroad alleging that he corruptly enriched himself from the illegal diamond business when he was President. My children and I were placed on surveillance and movement and phone conversation is being monitored. The only save communication we have is Internet. Charles Taylor trusted friends betrayed him by accepting to testify against him in the International Criminal Court of Justice in Hague.

One of my visits to Charles Taylor in Prison early this year, he told me that he buried Five Mini Trunk Boxes of Diamond and US$18. 5,000.00c cash in a ranch farmhouse he bought purposely for receiving guests out side his close family relatives when we were in exile.

He told me that he buried the items in the ground concrete it and erect his late mother statue on top for recognition of the particular sport he buried the items then made a garden on it surroundings and nobody knew about it. He further told me that he did this because he suspected and had fears that all his assets will be seized after his arrest and it has now happened.

Now we got information from the Estate Agent that sold the farmhouse to Charles Taylor that the government of Liberia has seized the house and wants to auction it. The help we need from you is that we want you to bid for this farmhouse and buy it over. Then you will assist us secure the Diamond and Moneyboxes he buried in the compound. The house is not important to us. What is important to us is the treasure buried in the premises. If the treasures are dug out, you will be repaid for all your effort.

Finally, you will be given one third of the Diamond Box. Please do not let anyone know about this information. If accept to assist us in this predicament, I will give you the contact information of the Government Estate Agent in charge of the sale of the house. You can click on this site below to read more about Charles Taylor and the allegations against him: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/2963086.stm

    Regards,

    Senator Jewel Taylor"

You cynical folk would be amazed how often these mails are real.

I myself garnished my cocoa pops with rubies this morning courtesy of his royal highness Price Obakaka Imbrotu of Mali. His father was murdered to death by rebels, and as gratitiude for my lending him my bank account to sort out a few personal issues, he has promised to keep me in leapoard skin sofas and guitar shaped swimming pools for the rest of my days.
Go on, send the money, you know you want to.....

Someone tried to scam me once. I got revenge by forcing them to watch 72 hours of non stop Sex and The City, and then another 48 of RTE sitcoms.
