    Hi everyone,

Myself and a couple of lads are heading out to Thailand for 3wks in August. We're flying in and out of Bangkok. Any suggestions of what to do? We have nothing planned at all:D

Do a boards search for Thailand threads.

    They're infinite.

To get you started, go to the islands e.g. Koh Phangnan, Ko Phi phi.

But search for other threads about Thailand and you'll find loads.

It's been discussed here ad infinitum.

    Enjoy, nice country.

Go for it man. You will have a lot of fun...:D

My mate in England is always asking me to go when he heads over there again. Must go soon, when I get the chance.

I would highly recommend doing an intro dive course 2-3 days on Koh Tao island. Bloody quality. You wont regret it, also i would arrange to go to koh tao around the 20th of the month as that is when the Full moon party is on on Koh phangnan. And thats not to be missed. Koh Tao is right beside Koh Phangnan so two birds one stone..

Just a note on Koh Tao before and after the full moon, it will be packed, which means packed dive sites and larger classes for many of the schools (however nightlife is excellent as a result!).

Am not sure if true but seemingly there is more activity underwater just before the full moon than after, but that could have been a drunken conversation badly recalled.

I'm heading to Thailand this tuesday for 6 weeks. i'm going over with 6 of my mates but our flight has around 50-60 people that we know so should be eventfull.

Your best bet for your first night would be to stay on the Khao San Road in Bankok,Its where all the backpackers stay and you can get places for cheap if your on a budget. The D+D in was recommended to me by lots of people who have been to thailand before its one of the more expensive places to stay on Khao san road but supposed to be nice and we don't mind paying.

had three weeks last year in thailand on my travels. the north of thailand is different if yer into trekking for a few days in the mountains and seeing the real thailand tribes. The south then is all the different islands which hop to and fro on ferries. went to phuket-krabi- ko toa- ko phangnan- ko samui. phuket worth a visit, base the holiday around full moon party in ko phangnan- mental stuff, then if into diving do the 3 day padi cert-if not dont spend too much time there.ko samui worth a visit asweel, get in thai boxing night and few late ones. two days in bangkok before ye leave for south and maybe few when get back again to fly home. Well worth the visit, some experience.
