How much would I be looking to pay for a new clutch if :
    A) I got it done by a local mechanic
    OR
    B) I got it done in a Fiat garage ??
    Thanks in advance.

I enquired yesterday for replacing the clutch on my 99 punto (which is For Sale cheap, by the way :o) and for Laverty's in Dundalk to do it they estimated €350. They are not a Fiat dealership. Perhaps it would be less if you didn't replace all the parts but I think if you do that you can end up with a clutch that doesn't 'take up' smoothly. I also know that the Fiat dealership off Airton Rd in Tallaght charge something horrific for labour so I think you'd want to avoid them. They used to be my closest Fiat dealership before I moved to these more northern parts.

I'd be interested to know what other prices people come back with...?
