Just graduated from a IT/Comp Science. Is it possible or wise to find a graduate job abroad in this sector in order to immigrate or is it best to get a few years experience here. How easy is it to move abroad?

    Hello

Fas send IT grads to Asia.

As a new grad you are suitable for the milkround of Grad programmes (ie GIFT with fidelity, AIB etc). All the large international firms have grad programmes which provide invaluable training and oppertunities to live and work abroad.

Thats awesome. I'd be happy to hear if anyone has any experience with this.

A job in the UK is pretty straight forward. Anywhere else might require a little more effort.

If it's consultancy you might be interested in, you can try the likes of accenture which, theoretically, offers you the best of both worlds. Based in Dublin (with Irish salary), but sent abroad a lot (a couple months to a year at a time etc). However, I do know that some grads joined and ended up being based in Ireland permanently (apparently if they send you to a civil service role, you end up there the whole time!)
