    Hi,
If you are looking for decent LCD TV's......

I got a SONY KDL-32D3000 from: http://www.samsyerman.co.uk/ (2 stores in Belfast) for €706 (about €300 cheaper than SonyStores/Curry's etc for a really good TV).

They have it for €762 (including 10% discount) on their website, add €50 for delivery to dublin.

I rang the store and they were selling it for 560 sterling (they have a sale on in-store) - travelled to belfast (with a stop in IKEA :) and got it for 560 sterling (bargain!!)).

They would have shipped at that price (add delivery). The favourable exchange rate and better value make the north well worth a look for electrical goods!

I have had a look on their site and it is listed as STG£699 - was this the case when you got it; and did you have to call to get the £560 price?

Seems like a good deal if I can get it. It does not seem to be be full 1080 but more that it upscales to 1080? Not sure how this works but on a 32" it will be great!

    Might be ordering one too.

    Thanks

The Sony is not a Full HD TV but there is a Sharp 32" Full HD including a 5 year Sharp warranty for £699 before the discount.

Talked to shop just now and indeed there is 20% off in store. The Sharp gets great reviews but cannot tell from anywhere if there is a side HDMI slot - want this for plugging in the HDMI camcorder etc.

The Sharp is out of stock so waiting to see if they will take a deposit at sale price and then I can pick up based on the agreed price.

They won't take VAT off at source either... that would be nice to get 17.5% more off using my VAT number:mad:

Anyway, will let ye know what happens. Worth more investigating though based on 20% off all stock
