Hey folks. I've been looking into HDR for a few days now and today I finally got around to trying it out. It's nothing too spectacular, just the clock in the sitting room. I can't wait to try it out outside but today was just boring and grey.

I did a +/-2 exposure and blended them with a program called "Essential HDR" (It's free!). What do you think? is it a bit over the top? Any advice appreciated.

I like it, it's the kind of thing I'd stare at for hours if I was wasted.

Yes. It's still beta, so you have to register to download it.

Usually take a series of exposures, under, on-meter, over to capture the full range of light in the image, and merge them together
