I know most people probably just buy the cheapest but which glove do you prefer for dry conditions and then for the wet.

I prefer Footjoy or Titleist gloves for the dry.

I've read about Nomis gloves for the wet but I've never tried them (they are quite expensive).

I like footjoy or nike for the dry and I usualy keep old gloves in the bag so you can switch when one gets too wet if raining. I have a pair of 'winter/wet weather' gloves from nike, but they are too bulky. Can't grip the club when wearing them.

I've been using the Srixon all weather gloves for a year or so now. They're not to expensive and fit my hand well. Would definitely recommend them, I find them more durable than the Nike or Footjoy alternative.

Main thing about Golf Gloves is to keep them DRY - have them in a small plastic bag in your Golf bag particularly in wet weather.

Worst thing you can do is leave a WET glove in your bag between games - wont last long !!

Also important to re-grip your clubs approx every two years - shiny grips = bad golf:mad:

Have a Footjoy and find it really good even in the wet.

Got my irons and driver re-gripped yesterday with Golf Pride grips. Am wondering why I didn't it sooner as I had so much confidence in my grip/swing standing over each shot. Best €50 (grips & fitting) I ever spent.

I use the Titleist ones most of the time. Although they're quite dear. Also like the stasof gloves too. If i'm going home i'll order some. Direct golf do 3 for 30 pounds which is great. Free delivery in the UK over 25 pounds too.

Big saving as they can be up to 20 euro each over here.

I'm all about the Titleist Player's Glove, feels really nice. I keep 5 or 6 in the bag in case it rains.

I was looking at the Sta-Sof deal also.....they were $16 I think in the US before tax so that's about the same price (3 for £30).

The Titleist Players glove is also good but it's more expensive. I find that the cheaper gloves don't hold their shape as well and aren't as good a fit for me (I've long fingers).

Out of interest, how long do people get from their gloves?

That would depend on how many rounds you are playing.

I think I get about 6 months out of mine.

Playing 2 rounds per week on average i'm getting around 2-3 months i'd say.

I'll probably will have gone through 3 gloves between start of April and end of September.

Playing at 4:45 today and looking at that rain outside, I may have to buy a spare!!

Anyone on here based out west or in the midlands? What's the weather like where you guys are - any sign of it clearing yet? :o

Sounds about right......I'm playing less than once per week

I think you should stock up on the Sta-Sofs then

I'd get 6 months or so out of a glove. I like the weathersof. Just had a look at the fj site and recommended retail price is about half of what places here charge. :(
