    Demanding, aren't we?

How about http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=333298 for €811 + shipping? Only 1 component though.

http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=348165 is €100 more expensive but has the ports you want.

The inputs tend to be in the same place on every LCD TV.

i was looking at the the serious 6 of samsung tvs

    i know the 37inch cost http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-13-37A656

That's odd... try here for specs: http://www.iishop.be/le37a552-le-37a552-full-hd-lcd-tv-37-p-1355.html

The 6 series look pretty tasty but I doubt you'll get one in Ireland for under 1K right now.

    From Komplett:

    Estimated Delivery Charges
    Delivery methods
DHL Europlus (2-3 days) 119.80 inc. VAT
DHL Express (1-2 days) 347.67 inc. VAT

Steep alright. Do you know how much power city charge? Or can you collect?

On another thread in this forum, some1 is saying they got the 40" version for 1339e in power city which is less that you payed for the 37"(1370e i believe)
I never suspected that harvey normans would be the cheapest anyway. No matter what offer i have ever seen in their stores, i have seen a better one somewhere else
I would find it pretty annoying to wait another 2 weeks alright.I would normally buy online anyway but if you were to buy from a shop, you would expect to have it pretty snappy.

The 40'' could have been a lower spec than the 37'', its not just the size, its the res, brightness and response times that matter.

The poster doesnt specify exactly but the thread is about the series 6.He could have got a series 5.Speaking of that, what exactly is the difference between the series 5 and 6(Other than the series 6 being advertised by Chelsea players:D:D)
Seeing as i'm on a bit of a rant, what about the series 6 samsung justifies the 500 price difference between it and something like this:

    http://www.pixmania.com/ie/uk/949993/art/toshiba/37xv503dg-lcd-television.html

    I just cant see it

I've been having a good look on AVForums and there are some fairly minor differences between the series 5 and 6.Nothing near as much as the difference in prices mind.

Furthermore, i could'nt help but notice on that site that theres gonna be a series 7 launched in europe in the next couple of months.Just to let ye know, if ye think ye're gettin top of the range with the series 6, it wont be.I find this fairly stupid. How many lines are samsung going to launch FFS

lads any other stores or online shops where i can get the 6 series samsung tv

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,534 ✭✭✭Zonda999

    This is worth a look

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146278

It comes to about 1000euro delivered
Its model number is 37A616.That makes it a series 6 alright but the 37A656 is still above it.I dont know a whole lot about these but the differences i can see between this and the higher one are; No 100hz feature, no "Rose black" case and 3 hdmi inputs as opposed to 4 on the A656.Maybe 100hz isnt important to you.If not you could save a nice bit by gettin that one
