    Anyone seen the "rolling live news" feed on the RTÉ website. Is this the forerunner of a news channel? http://www.rte.ie/live/?news

    It is a pointless exercise considering the news could always be watched online.

    Yes pointless on the web, why watch a show half way in when you can watch on-demand. This channel would be better suited to UPC Digital.

    I don't understand why they didn't think of putting this on the DTT trial when it began.

    And now that it is over perhaps they could put it on DTT now. That is if they are planning to keep RTE ONE, TWO, TV3 and TG4 on digital air
