What's going on there? Massively overgrown and looks terrible. Have the locals had a bust up with DLR CoCo or something?

There was some work done on the footpaths there a while back so the county council may have stopped maintainence and not restarted yet.

But for some reason I have a strange vision of people mowing the bits outside their gafs themselves. Perhaps that's always been the case and people have just got lazy.

The road works were finished months ago. In fairness some people seem to have done it themselves, but there are a few stretches of "no man's land" where the grass and weeds are up to a metre in height. But it just looks terrible.

The problem was that the contractor that did the paths didn't do the grass verges. The verges were left in a state whereby they were not level and were too rough to cut. Since lawnmowers couldnt go over it they couldnt be cut and the contractors were to come back and re-do them to an acceptable standard.
Lokos like the grass has been sprayed now so they might be getting onto it finally
