    Couple of questions;
    when people swim at Seapoint where do you park, change and enter the water. Also are there any rough markers to give an idea of distance ? Finally is it advisable only to go at high tide ?

    Do people train in the liffey ? If so where do you enter - do the boat clubs around chapelizod mind if people are in there ??

    Thanks

    I sussed out Seapoint this morning - great spot and spoke to lifeguard about markers which is very handy

    Anyone any comments on Liffey options ??

    Had my bag stolen at Seapoint a few weeks back, as did a friend. Pity, it's a lovely spot to go swimming but if your stuff isn't safe it's not much of an option.

    That is an awful shame. Sorry to hear it on both your accounts. It is one of the difficulties of open water swimming. I have been lucky so far but how long will that last. I was thinking of just changing at the boot of my car instead and looping a car key into the elastic loop inside my wettie. Could then march off into the water with peace of mind.

    It's a pity alright, it's so handy to get down there on the Dart. Now I'd have to drive and getting there is just a hassle. time to grumble about modern Ireland.
