I wonder why the setup file is only 7MB?

The setup file on Xilisofts Website is 14MB Approx.

Works perfectly though

Looks like the setup connects to a server to validate the install (based on the server's date).

I'm not sure if it'll work, but in order to be able to install again in the future...
export the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xilisoft
and download the current official setup
http://www.xilisoft.com/webapp/down.php?product_code=x-video-converter

Then, when you need to re-install, run setup and import the registry key

I missed it too... what size is it? Could anyone email it to me if its not too big? Or pop it up on rapidshare etc. if thats not against any rules on boards.

Yep, it was one of their better offers TBO.

The problem with them though is that they have to be installed within the timeframe of the offer.

It checks with the Giveawayoftheday server & if the time & date are outside the offer it won't install.

So even if you get a copy of the download it won't install.

Downloaded it last night, looked up some reviews... deleted installer file. A number of people were complaining about the audio syncing.

Avidemux is probably better for my needs. It's a free open-source program designed for multi-purpose video editing and processing.

I've been using Xillisoft for ages now & never had a problem with audio syncing.

I suppose there could be many factors that could cause that issue though.
