Plastics are the way to go from what I believe. I got a pair of Adidas Dry Nitro 2 in heatons/sportsworld for €50 and find them pretty good.

Cant go wrong with any Footjoy golf shoes. Not very expensive either.

JJB Sports do reasonably priced golf shoes. I'd stay away from McGuirks though, they are very over-priced when it comes to shoes.

Footjoy Dryjoys - they will last a long time

JJB (I think) in the square are having a closing down sale and my sister said they are always getting in new stock of golf shoes and max price is €30 and they are very good shoes.

Might be worth a look OP.

    Footjoys for me.

Had a pair of Adidas Tour 360's that leaked and they were an expensive shoe, guy in the shop said they had lots returned. Anyway they gave em a credit for them and I got the footjoys, lovely comfortable shoe that doesn't leak (so far!!).

I agree with you, they are over priced ...... but i was in there last week and got a pair of Footjoy "dryjoys" for €60 which is a steal!! As they are normally €120 and I've even seen the same pair in a hotel golf shop I used to know for €175. This particular hotel golf shop is a total rip off though!

Have a pair of the Limited Edition Tour 360's and don't like them one bit. Got them at cost thankfully but I find them quite hard under foot and not very comfortable.

Just picked up a pair of Copenhagens online for £79 in a sale, which is a bargain. Best shoe money can buy, along with Footjoys.

personally I find the various adidas shoes very good, have had the euro and currently the tour metals.

I think with golf shoes you need to find which brand makes a shoe that suits your feet and then stick with them. They all use slightly different lasts, for instance the adidas ones are usually a narrower european fit than footjoy or nike.

My tour 360's leaked the first time I wore them in the rain. They're the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned though.

Thanks for all the info guys might have to look into the footjoys as narrower fitting shoes would not really suit!

Adidas also have a wide fit option. My tour 360s have been great so far. No leakage. Not had to withstand a proper downpour yet right enough, but looks like that could all change tonight.
