Have used search to no avail,
can anyone say if any of the old passports are machine readable. I mean the ones without the hollogram.
according to citizen information all you need is the two >>> lines at the bottom, can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks

Search *should* work fine. Best to search by thread titles for the word 'passport'

Machine readable means that yes, you need the >>> lines at the bottom of the page.

My passport is from 1999 and I've used it all over the world including America twice in the last 6 months so I'd imagine it'd be fine.
