    From TCD Cricket:

    Ireland A will play Bangladesh A in a 3 day match June 23-25. Cricket Ireland met us and DUCAC yesterday and it has been confirmed that this match will be played at College Park. It's great to have international cricket back in the park!

    Should be an interesting game but none of the big guns will be playing for Ireland A. It's more or less the fringe players who will play the matches and then from what I can remember from the email, there will be a couple of one day matches and maybe a Twenty20. The full Irish squad are playing this Sunday at a venue against a Lashings XI in Wicklow, unfortunately it's an invitation event, but I'll be there :cool:

    Ireland A Squad:

    The Ireland 'A' squad in full is as follows:

    * Kevin O'Brien (captain) Railway
    * Peter Connell (North Down)
    * Phil Eaglestone (Strabane)
    * Ryan Haire (North Down)
    * James Hall (Waringstown)
    * Gary Kidd (Waringstown)
    * Fintan McAllister (wicket-keeper) (Rush)
    * Andrew Poynter (Clontarf)
    * Paul Stirling (Cliftonville)
    * Reinhardt Strydom ( North County )
    * Greg Thompson (Lisburn)

    * Shane Getkate (12th man) (Malahide)

    The lineup isn't too bad. 9 of the 12 have represented Ireland in the U19 world cup so it's a very young side. Pity it's on midweek so photographing a few Twenty20 games in England will have to do instead.

    Saw Fintan in action for Rush at the week-end. Brilliant. Took a few good catchs and made about 90. He was a super Gaelic Footballer with St. Maurs and a good soccer player. A great all round individual. His bother David plays for Drogheda Utd and touch wood another brother Paul will play Hurling for Dublin. He is only 17 and on Fingal/North Dublin side in senior club championship. Its in the sea air in Rush. Rush Cricket Club is good venue to get shots of cricket.
