Problems with transfer of podcasts to Nano

Hi, I have an iPod Nano and it is brill except I have a problem with transferring podcasts to it. Is it that only the latest podcast transfers? Have a build up of them from not transferring them and now they won't transfer when I go File/Sync? Thanks.
