Should I complain To Sky?

I ordered sky+ last week after receiving a leaflet in the post saying the box had been reduced to €99. This was backed up by their website. When I rang, however, I was told that this was a "mistake"...the correct price was €149. I ordered it anyway but made it clear I was not happy with their "mistake".
Should I pursue the reduced price with them?

It should be 99 euro and half price sub for the first 2 months. But that is only to new customers from what I know.

For new customers it is free sky+ box until the end of the month, you pay for just the installation.

Above offer also advertised in last weekends papers

Are you already a Sky Customer? Because if this is the case then you can complain to them. My sister did so last week and she was offered Sky+ for €69. She's aleady a Sky customer though, so is merely upgrading her box. They were trying to get alot more out of her but she stood her ground and eventually they offered it to her for €69. She couldn't understand why an existing customer would have to pay more than a new customer. She was evetually tranferred to a customer service rep...and they sorted her out.

I just rang there and they said 149, no less. i had a big argument with the rep and he refused to budge off it, said they cant do it for 99.

Hes supposed to refer you to a cancellation agent. Try calling back and speak with another agent, try to cancel from the outset.

Yep, say you'll cancel. My sister did and when she was put through to a cancellation agent it was then that she was offered the deal.

    Keep at it..be strong!

On another note, a friend of mine rang to upgrade to Sky + and when he gave his a/c # there wasn't an account under that number according to their systems. He'd basically been watching Sky for a year without paying. (now don't ask me how he didn't notice there was never a DD on his bank statement for it). But anyway he said its all set up from here forward but they didn't ask for it to be backdated.

    I have phoned to cancel 3 times.LOL

    1. I needed a new dish was asked to pay so I told them to cancel it and got dish for free.

    2. Sky+ box packed up and they wanted to charge for new one so i said cancel and got new box free

    3. I heard if you try cancel you will get a deal on package to stay so tried that and it worked.

Yes I am an existing Sky customer. Your sister did well by the way! I tried the same but they kept fobbing me off. They told me to call some fool in Scotland who was no help. I will try the cancel suggestion!
