Clubs in balbriggan/skerries

    Hi,
    Am looking for a badminton club balbriggan/skerries area for myself and my husband. He played up until 3 years ago and I am a complete newbie.
    Would like to get involved in a summer club so that he could get his eye back and for me to discover if i'm capable of actually hitting the damn thing!
    I looked on badminton ireland website and they've peoples names listed but no numbers or training times!

    I know Skerries badminton will be running summer badminton from 5 August. I don't know if there's anyone in the area getting going before then. I'm also trying to find somewhere in the area running summer badminton through June and July.

    I was on the Skerries Badminton Club committee up until 2 years ago (before I moved to London). I still have contacts there so should you wish (and still looking) I can put you forward to the right people. Send me a private messege and I'll send you details.

    I know they are eager to kick start the club again after a couple of years of decline in membership. They now have a new committee full of energy and new ideas to increase membership.

    Also, if you are looking for a summer club, you're best bet is to contact Baldoyle Badminton centre to find out times. I went the summer before I came to London and it was held every Tuesday and Thursday night. If you're a car driver it only takes about 25minutes to get there and it costs about €6 a night (I think).
