I have a Western Caribbean cruise booked for early next year, setting sail from Miami. The thing is, we don't want to travel all that distance for just one week. We would like to do a small bit of traveling along with the cruise maybe take in Vegas or San Francisco or New York. We can not decide whether to do this traveling before or after the cruise. Some people reckon if you do it after the cruise that you are so used to luxury that hotels etc are a come down. So i would just like some opinions from people, would you travel before or after the cruise. Thank You so much ;)

Writing in large, plum coloured Comic Sans makes baby jesus cry :O

Anyway, it's also *very* hard to read on some of the forum backgrounds (just cos it looks nice on your screen, it doesn't work nicely on everyone elses) :o)

I've edited to normal font now, for everyone's eyes :)

@Buffy: There's a background where plum works and comic sans isn't a hideous font? Which?

@OP: Have you sailed much before. If you have you might be able to judge from that whether you tend to find it weird adjusting to being on a ship and to adjusting to being back on land, and factor that in.

Also, NO NEED TO SHOUT. It's rude, and being rude isn't a good start if you hope people might offer advice.

I did a Western Caribbean cruise a couple of years ago,we spent about 10 days in Orlando and then drove down to Miami/fort lauderdale. This was a great way to do it as we were wrecked from all the running around in Orlando so a week relaxing on a cruise was a great pick me up.

Orlando would be a great spot to choose, it's just a four hour drive down to Miami and it would be lovely early in the year (ie not too hot and not too crowded). You'd def want to do Orlando before the cruise, you'd be wrecked after a week there!
