I have a 500mb data add on from vodafone, and on my last bill i was charged for data. 8euro for 600kb!
Vodafone tell me that this 500mb is only for content in the vodafone live portal. Surely you would never use 500mb looking at that content!?

Am i just using the wrong access point ... there is vodafone live, vodafone misp and vodafone mms set up on my phone.

If what they are telling me is true, there is obviously no point in having this 500mb package !

you have to connect to live first then from there go wherever you want - google, carzone, youtube, you get the idea.
the idea is just really behind advertising - you get 500mb for a tenner if you look at vodafone stuff first.

granted that it was added, it only took effect from your last bill day, any usage before it wouldnt have been covered, and if you use isp like just plain ol browser, it dosent work.

i used a good chunk of it last month from loookin at youtube, so its worth having.

Yeah - to be honest, i'd say you're best bet is to just plain delete vodafone isp - then you'll know what you're connecting to is included...
friend of mine has that add on too - it only covers anything connected through the live.vodafone.com apn (access point name) - the idea behind it is that Vf live will access the mobile internet (not the full version), tho in effect, sometimes you can get onto nything once you're on it... the one thing you wanna watch out for is your phoneswitching over to the isp one half way through (which can happen) - hence why i was saying to just delete it (or change something in it so it can't connect)...
    hope that helps...

But surely you dont have to view anything from VF Live's own site before you can carry on with non-VF sites on live.vodafone.net APN?

Well, no, you don't... but for most the usual way to connect is through the live! button which has the vf live main page as the homepage... depends on the phone you're using, really...
