€200ish Upgrade?

I want to upgrade our pc with a processor (possibly mobo as well) for about €200 (possibly €250!) We currently have an AM2 mobo with a X2 4000, so i figure i could either get a new AM2 cpu or go for a socket 775 and processor instead..... Opinions appreciated on what i could get for that budget, cheers!

if you can stretch to 278€ then this will be prefect, and huge leap over what you have at the moment.

Nice! i wouldn't need to get ram cos we already have 3 gig of ram.... so intel is the way to go then?

Thats a great upgrade, flog the RAM on adverts if u dont need it, you might get a few pennies for some PC5300.
