    Hi Guys,

My computer seems to have died overnight.

I am getting no indication of power to the computer when i plug it in with the exception of a flash of the power light on the front of the case when i unplug the power.

All internal wiring appears to be solid and undamaged. I tried bypassing the power button but it did not help.

The PSU fan does not start nor does any other fans etc.

I would think that it is the PSU that has died but would appreciate any other ideas before i replace it.

The computer is a self build about a year old. Intel Core2, MSI board

    Thanks

    Shane

sounds like the PSU died. if it "burnt out" u can usually smell it! u could take one from another PC & install or check for voltages to make sure.

No spare PSU or voltage tester.

Will pick one up anyway and could use it for something else in the future.

    Thanks

    New PSU purchased and installed.

    Working fine now.
