Tim Russert died of a heart attack last night while he was recording voice overs for this weekends "Meet the Press".

he seemed to really enjoy covering politics, especially this election, it's a pity he didn't live even long enough to see it's conclusion.

    Tragic for his family.

A great loss to US journalism and at such an age.

As a kid I used to watch Meet the Press and thought it was a good show with a great host

    RIP

The guy was a pro and made US politics very entertaining and accessible. He was very fair with his presenting especially through his great use of quotes, stats and soundbites. From what I saw of him on other shows like The Daily Show and the NBC Nightly news as a contributor he was a very witty guy. His early passing is very shocking and sad considering it was only two weeks ago he was discussing Senator Kennedy's health situation on the show. It'll be hard to replace him. RIP Tim.
