    I remember following it as a kid on BBC 1... the feckers never showed the last episode... I don't think I ever got around to seeing it.

    I didn't see the final episode the first time around, though have seen it more recently. A very good episode.

    Those were good, Once Upon a Time..Life (about the human body) was a favourite of mine. Those viruses and bacteria were bullies. ;_;

    Yeah, HMV Grafton's St. has had a few copies for about 2months now, the €80 price tag's been a bit offputting for me though, especially since I know that with HMV all you ever have to do is wait a bit and they'll slash the price in half as they're:
    a. in such a rush to get the old stock out to make room for the new
    b. clearly making a freaking killing in terms of the mark-up they charge on new releases!

    It's amazing the things you start to realise being an adult re-watching a show you first watched when you where just starting school. Things like "How come Tao speaks english"... etc

    Also the fact I'd never realized how obviously dubbed it is. It's almost laughable at points. Also, the way they talk is very much aimed at explaining and teaching things to children, something I hadn't noticed before (being a kid of course) It is actually amazing me the amount of things I know about this period of history and this part of the world merely from watching this show as a kid, each episode aims to teach you something new about actual History whilst mixing it perfectly with mythology. Although sometimes it feels a little forced when they go into elaborate explanations about something that normal people would just make a passing comment about.

    Still a great show, the music in the episodes themselves still give me goosebumps even now. There is this one score that always plays just before something exciting happens.

    EDIT: Found it, heres the music I was talking about

    I downloaded the entire series on torrent about 2 or 3 years ago. It's great. They don't make cartoons like it anymore. Ima buy the DVD. I could watch it all over again for sure.

    MENDOZA!

    Oh btw, useless trivia fact.

    The girl who did the english voice for Zia never actually saw the series.

    I did also but the torrents of it are rubbish, the DVD has been digitally restored. First time I watched this was on a 15" TV, I'm now watching it on a 42" TV and it still looks excellent.

    yeah, torrents were low quality for sure.
