    Fair play to em all.

Why do the fire engines always leak water when going around corners??

Its handy for the Gards to find their way to a fire/accident sometimes. Just follow the trail of water on the turns and bends!!

The appliances have an overflow outlet to prevent tanks from bursting when being filled under pressure, like from a hydrant. If an appliance is filled to the brim with wheels on level ground, as would be normal, when it goes around a corner the vehicle will lean a bit, and some water will get out the overflow.

Either that, or a collecting breeching is leaking a bit....

Interesting - so are all firefighters outside Dublin also EMTs/Paramedics? I saw the star of life on the engine...would they do a lot of EMS work with NAS?

No, I'm not aware of any service outside Dublin which has its firefighters cross-trained as Paramedics. Most services are aiming to have a high proportion if not all their firefighters trained as First Responders, which would be the appropriate level given that they don't have a transportation role.
