For anyone interested in sports there's a Judo (team) competition out in Portmarnock Leisure Centre from 10am to 4pm with some Kickboxing, Kung Fu, Kendo (spectacular Japanese sword style) and Kenpo Karate.

The Defence Forces are sending a team to fight too.

Admission is free and there's no issue's with flash photography.

Absolutely, was gonna put up a similar post myself but you beat me to it! Its on Friday - Sunday so there should be plenty of opportunities if the weather decides to be pissy and act up. Should be good though.

The National Submission Champs are on in UCD sports hall tomorrow as well, for anyone who might be interested. I hope to make it out there with the camera...a lot of stuff on this weekend though.

I shall be going on Saturday with a group of peops and cameras (plural as there will definitely be more then one!)Look out for a group of nerds (nice way to describe us) and cameras.Also planning on heading to the Bravosho in the evening.Was at it last year and it was fantastic!

Also, i knoe this is really short notice but The Rocky Horror Show is on in the Sugar Club tonight.....always a good one for photos, even the crowd!

Tickets on the door but it will fill up super fast.

I've to link up with a friend of mine who is taking his 3 year old daughter in for a while this afternoon around 1 so if you see a blonde girl floating around with a guy and a little blonde girl (not mine I should add!) that'll be me... hoping to pop back later on when they head off also.

Ha you never know, could make for an interesting day!

To be more specific, longish straight hair, shoot Nikon d80, probably with a curly haired 3 year old hanging out of me making it impossible for me to shoot! Like I said, hopefully will be back later when they head off to get some proper shots if that rain doesn't show up.

Met Fergus and spent an hour here, unfortunately I had no long zoom lens having sold it and awaiting my new 2.8.
Took these few with my Canon 100mm Macro lens of all things, light was terrible but.....







Off to that Merrion square thinghy now!

Ok back from the Street performance fest and a few pints and lunch in one fantastic bar called Oil Can Harry's, highly recommended, staff so friendly and Veggie options too and very reasonably priced considering where it was, Mount Street!



Matinka get's close to shocked male, thats not a female boards member in the background btw is it?
There were far more photograhers at this than the Docklands fest, far more.
Massive cams and lenses, Some bloke photographer even had a massive step ladder with him too. :cool:

I will add that this is ideal if you have children and want to bring them along later or tomorrow, also each artist was not only good at their chosen profession but were as funny as fck.
