Travel insurance including mountain rescue

    Im off to hike Kilimanjaro in September, but I need mountain rescue as part of the insurance package. VHI didnt seem to give me an option for this. Do any of you guys have anyone to recommend.

    I was considering a different climb and I asked my brother what he did when he climbed Kilimanjaro in February, this is what he said -

    I got a worldwide policy from AIB. It is a top-up insurance for people who already have medical insurance. Because there were no ropes needed to climb Kili AIB covered the trekking as part of their regular insurance. However, many companies stop at 2000m!! Also if you are going to be away for an extended time you will have to check that you are covered - there might be a clause saying that you are covered for 2 weeks away or something like that
