3G Broadband??

    Just trying to find out, if anyone has used or using the 3G gadget from Perlico??? Wireless, using USB cable?? Is it any good or should I forget it!! Living in country, Co. Carlow area. Any tips please.:o

    Avoid it like the plague unless you need it for mobility.

    You said avoid it!! but it might be my only choice out there! unless I get a phoneline connected, which I dont really want too!! Can you suggest any other ways???? really would be lost without Internet!!! Help!!:confused:

    Not knowing exactly where you live in Carlow, I'll just give you a few fixed wireless operators that have some amount of coverage up there, this is off the top of my head so its by no means definitive. Remember I'm not sure of the particular quality of these operators but generally fixed wireless is much better than 3G. http://www.permanet.ie/ http://www.aptus.ie/ http://www2.digiweb.ie/home/metro/ http://www.icebroadband.com/ . There's a few more as well but I had a heavy night last night so having trouble thinking of them :p

    Just a point about the phoneline, I know you said you would rather not get the phoneline in, but I wouldn't discount getting the phoneline in. Generally DSL is the best broadband and there are bundles DSL providers have to make it cheaper, if your exchange is enabled you should also take a look at DSL packages.
