People can't hear me, but I can hear them

I have a Sony Ericsson W610i (I think. It's the one with the orange back.) and recently people haven't been able to hear me properly when I talk to them, although I can hear them. I've checked that the volume is turned up fully and it is and I've tried shouting but I apparently still can't be heard properly.

I'm going to go into the shop tomorrow about it but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what the problem is. It's really beginning to annoy me!

yes. the microphone is broken and there's nothing you can do to fix it. it'll have to be sent off for repair. back up anything on the phone first

Ugh, I'm angry now! Stupid phone. I only got it in October, it should have lasted longer! Thanks for the information.

if you're not in the habit of switching off your phone the software may have glitches. Try removing the battery while the phone is on, then put it back in and switch it on. If that doesn't fix it then the problem is more serious.

That's interesting, I never thought of having the phone on all the time as being bad for the phone. My phone is pretty much always on. I'll try taking out the battery and I'll see if it helps. Otherwise it's a trip to Meteor for me!

    Thanks.

If it's still working for other functions, eg, text, Mp3 player etc there's probably not much point leaving it in on a Friday, as you're pretty much guaranteed it'll stay in the store until Monday. Keep the phone over the weekend and use it for anything you need then drop it in on sunday afternoon or Monday.

Makes sense. See I would never think of any of these things! Thanks.
