Vista - Bluetooth - Windows Mobile - HSDPA connection problem.

I'm trying to use my HTC Touch Cruise with WM6.0 as a modem for my Vista laptop and use the HSDPA connection to connect to the web.

I have no problem getting a Bluetooth PAN to work or Internet connect sharing but the phone just does not appear as a modem in Vista. I've done lots of searches for a solution but no joy so far. From what i've seen this may not be possible as there are no Vista modem drivers for my phone but am hoping this is not the case.

My HSDPA connection to Vodafone Live is working fine on the phone itself.

    HELP!

Ok, you dont want the Bluetooth LAN connection, its the Bluetooth Dialup is what your after.
How many data accounts are on your phone?

If you just have one the number you dial, in the Bluetooth Dialup popup is *99#
For SE phones, if you have more than one data account setup on your phone you dial*99***x# Where x is the id of the data account you want

You dont need a Vista driver for your phone, you just need to have Bluetooth working on your laptop

you can connect your bluetooth serial port and then add a serial modem

Thanks for the suggestions. Strangely enough I don't have the BT "dial up networking" option but in the end didn't need it.

I got it working using Internet Connection Sharing, Bluetooth PAN, and Vodafone ISP APN.

I found that in order to get the Bluetooth PAN working, Active Sync needs to be off and all network connections need to be disconnected. I actually disabled my Net Card/Wifi adapter in Device manager for this.

Once you do this Bluetooth PAN works no problem. However at this point I was still unable to connect to the internet through the phone so tried the Vodafone ISP APN (will organise loan to pay this later) and all worked fine. Must be the proxy with Vodafone live that causes this particular problem.

My contract with Vodafone ends this month so I'm off to O2 for their data plan with my own phone, on bill pay, with no contract.
