I'll probably head along Friday afternoon/evening and maybe some of Saturday.

Looks like plenty of good performers again this year.

I assume you mean the pic of the metal 'guy'? Is that what it is? I just walked through it as a shortcut to the bar when the maritime festival was on ! :o

I spent the afternoon in Merrion Square at the street performance world championships, since i won't be there tomorrow or sunday. Had a great time, the acts are excellent, good crowds, great atmosphere and the opportunity to get some great shots. (Bring a long-ish lens, 70-200 f2.8 seemed to work very well as it got quite overcast at times.)

I was there yesterday for an hour or so. All shots taken with 24-70mm f/2.8. Mind you, I was sitting right up front almost at their feet at times.

    Just processing the images now.

Hope to be in later today.

The place was coming down with cameras, thousands of the feckers! We're going to have an outbreak of jugglers and the like. I didn't realise there was so much camera hardware out there in such enthusiastic hands. Mind you there's some of them who could do with being a little less enthusiastic and stop blocking everyone else's view.

Never mind those who need to learn that flash is not effective from a distance and that on a decent day, you shouldn't need flash at all.

    A good day though.

I got in around 3pm yesterday.. the bubbles were good fun for photos with face painted kids! I was really surprised at the amount of dslrs floating around the place!!

It was a great day, lots of interesting things to take photo's off. Personally i never thought i'd be in a position to take a photo of a few hundred Irish people, arms aloft and screaming 2We are the champions" by Queen while crowd surfing a very small Italian man.

    Great day. :)

There was a segment on Morning Ireland this morning saying they might hold it jointly in Dublin and Cork next year.

At least I think it was this they were talking about, was just waking up at the time.
