    At the start of this song this is a lot cool weird distorted sounds,any idea what pedals cobain used to get those sounds?

    I'm pretty sure he used a Boss DS-1 but the magic lies in the Electro Harmonix Poly-Chorus in the flange mode. Don't have the exact settings but I'm sure I've seen a web article that claimed to have them exact if you do a google search for it.

    I remember reading an article about the recording of In Utero in Uncut or something years ago and Steve Albini said Kurt got that screaming sound using an old amp that had bust tubes...
