Looks like a decent line up. I was away for the last one and heard good things so I'll be there.

    Pay at the door alright?

This will be my first fight night and am looking forward to it. Would it be possible to get some directions to the GAA club?

I'll say hello if I recognise you from the blog Rob. Looking forward to this night out now. Few scoops. Few quality fights. Almost the perfect night out.

    Almost.

edit: ag marbh: Haven't fully worked out how I'll get home myself. I live on the arse end of the northside.

Good night out. Some crackin' fights towards the end.

I went out to my car for a minute and came back to hear that some muppets were throwing stuff at Pete and the lads from Spartan when they were making their entrance. Whoever you are: You're a f*cking idiot(s). The guys from Spartan have been nothing but courteous and helpful to the Muay Thai scene in Ireland. Don't forget that Irish lads fight in the UK as well.

Anyway, aside from that it was a crackin' night. Thought I was gonna have some trouble finding the place as I got closer to dalkey.....then this bus passes in front of me and it's called "the flyer" or something. Painted on the side is: "last stop cuala gaa club". Win! :D

vickers vs grainger in C class? I thought that would be a b

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,485 ✭✭✭✭Khannie

Agreed. I'd say they'll both move up soon enough. Very skilled for a C class fight.

Have to agree there, some quality fights! Dagan's fight was something else if it was a C class. I wouldn't want to be stepping out of amateur straight into either him or his opponent, who was no mug in any way shape or form.

I actually didn't see anyone throwing stuff at the lads from Spartan... needless to say though anyone throwing **** at people because they're from England is, of course, a muppet.

I was at the venue, and objects were thrown twice at the young cornerman. unfortunately, there was no security to throw the p***k out.

Think it raises the issue of flags at these events, the English lads are guests and do not need this type of aggro .....

Overall, an excellent event, Fighter of night would be the Cork Youngfella, his opponent takin a close second place !!

from what club/fighter were the guilty culprits associated with? name and shame

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,485 ✭✭✭✭Khannie

NC: Dunno what club (if any) he / they were from. I heard that John Dennis (the young cornerman that CFC's referring to) saw who it was. He's a bigger gentleman than me for deciding not to do anything that might ruin the night.

Yup. They both looked like B class fighters to me alright.

Hi only getting on to boards now in relation to the fight being C Class i was looking for a B class fight for Dagan but was not fortunate to get one confirmed. And mark was a great competitor i believe he is coming back to fighting after a long lay off so he has to manage his return with causion and Pete his trainer is right to make him do that . Also i must say how good Pete and John and all the Spartan lads are because i had no idea that somebody was throwing things at them as they said nothing to me and didnt complain about anything they were a pleasure to have over from start to finish.
