I bought a Silvercrest PNA-M4310 in LIDL last Xmas and it has stopped getting a gps signal. Sometimes it gets a signal but it only lasts a few minutes and dissapears again. Anybody any ideas on how to fix it?

One of the reasons I bought an Aldi GPS, instead of a Garmin, was the experience of 3 friends, all of whom had Garmins, all of which failed.

Initially, they all got excellent service, but, perhaps as this issue became more costly to the distribution chain, they got less enthusiastic response.

It's rumored the SIRF chipset fails, some chipset does anyway.

At least with the German companies you have a 3 year warranty.

They just seem to do this.
