editing problems on dvd camcorder

    i have a panasonic dvd video camera(vdr-d150eb) over the last year i have recorded different family events on various discs now i would like to edit these down to one or two discs dose anyone know i would go about this as it dosent explain fully in the manual,
    the camera dose have a usb port do i have to maybe buy an editing package for my pc ?
    any help would be much appreciated 51 fun

    two ways, computer or dvd recorder.

    1.
    with a computer, yes you connect the camera with a usb cable an then buy video editing software. on windows, it comes with Windows Movie Maker (crap) so i recommend buying Pinnacle Studio. http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Home+Video/Studio+Family/

    there are 3 version, just with more features the more you pay.

    on mac you have iMovie which does everything.

    2.
    connect to a dvd recorder with the standard tv cables and then record what you want onto dvd.
