How about reformatting your post and not using text speak? That would be a good start and more people would be willing to help you with your query.

He is just pissed off that your using txt speak like typing u instead of saying you. Dont mind him i think its sad if you have a problem about the way someone is posting don't reply or report the post.

Anyway not too sure about Irish Ferries why dont you try ringing them and asking about their recruitment processes.

Clutchy08 I'm only having a laugh when I say this mate but I hope your real grammar and spelling is better than the text-type using here - I would imagine Captain of a ship would require a fair few qualifications and the ability to use and speak the english language properly - best of luck :-)

What he said; three years of college plus state exams to qualify. Then after a few years at sea, back to college for another year and another state exam, then a few more years at sea and then back for more schooling and exams, then you can play ferry captain.

Then you'll find out that Irish Ferries employ cheap eastern european officers...
