    Hi,

I did the dublin marathon last year and am thinking about doing it again this year. Was thinking of joining a club as i trained on my own most of the time last year and it got pretty boring near the end. Does anyone know of any running clubs in north dublin which would suit a 30yr old training for the marathon?

    Tks

Decent enough crew and based in the heart of the Northside in the home of Irish athletics at Morton Stadium, Santry. Loads of athletes from International Elite to tiny tots, and a big marathon/distance group who do lots of training together. There is a great Grand Prix series that runs throughout the year that is club based and involves races from 1 mile and up on the track, road and country with gradings/handicap etc.

Forgot to add that all grades, ages and genders are welcome. Nice clubhouse with bar too, if that ever happened to tickle your fancy.

Also Crusaders are targeting Dublin right now with an introductory talk/meeting next Tues and the formation of a training group or groups.

Raheny Shamrock, have a group that train everynight of the week and in the mornings over the weekend. Big group about 20 men and women of all ages and standards.
Also have 3 race series to break up the training.
