The Demise of analogue Radio

Another Radio Thread has prompted me into asking the question "What happens when the FM Analogue signal ceases to be transmitted" by Chorus/NTL?

Apparently Cork is the first City to have the FM Signal 'cut off' in favour of the Digital Only option!

But my query is this: I have a 15 year old seperates HI FI system (Top End FM Tuner inc), I also have a cheap Midi system plugged into the 'NTL FM' socket, & then have a high quality FM/DAB Clock Radio with the Coaxial lead plugged into another FM socket upstairs . . . . .

So what happens if NTL cut off the FM analogue signal? Is my HI Fi FM tuner redundant? is the Midi Hi Fi history? is my brand new Top End 'Clock Radio' history ? or is there a digital>analogue 'Box of tricks' that can be installed to keep my Radios alive?

    P.S. I listen to BBC Radio2 > Radio5 mostly.

Quick answer is yes, longer answer is buy a FTA sat system and you can do the same thing, Lidl shop type systems start at about 150 euro I think.
