Anyone hear whether planning permission was granted or denied at the Meatch CC meeting on Monday night? Decision is down to be published on 18th, but was on the agenda for Monday night's council meeting. Nothing on Meath CC website - wondering has anyone heard anything elsewhere?

Yes, planning permission was granted - I heard it on the radio on Monday. Didn't hear if there were any conditions linked, but at least things can get moving and the Drogs will have somewhere to play next season!

Doesn't look like it'll be next season Gipi, when I got home there was an article in the Drogheda Leader yesterday that said the road from the Duleek exit off the M1 to Colpe Cross on the Dublin Road has to be completed before construction on the stadium is allowed to begin. Apparently there are a couple of other hurdles to overcome such as the Bord Pleanala appeal process (should anyone appeal) and the NRA must approve the road before construction on the road can begin...which they should do fairly quickly apparently, but it all costs time, and 2010 looks most likely for the new ground to be ready.
