    Hi folks,
    a friend of mine is looking for a very cheap beetle. Can be in real bad condition. It's for a long time project.

    Possibly check scrap yards etc...

    However from much experience, pay as much as you posibly can afford to start with, believe me can cost you 2 to 3 times more in the long run..;)

    I personally wouldnt go for a real rotter,wouldnt he be better off starting off with a reasonably good car,in my admitidly limited experience with beetles they seem to rust horribly in strange places,the one i had had gutters gone, inner and outer wings,all i kept was the 'pan:D
