Web UI Engineer required

    The role is based in offices located in Dublin City Centre.

    You are a Web Developer.

    You have acquired your skills through blood, sweat, and tears while struggling to make your sites look right and function correctly across all major browsers.

    You occasionally wake up in the middle of the night dreaming in Javascript and HTML.

    You care about web standards, you know what the "Cascade" is in CSS, and "(function(){ ... })();" doesn't look strange to you.

    If you want to become part of a UI engineering team to learn and use bleeding edge web technologies and working on multiple projects, then NewBay is the right place for you.


    *Essential*

    * 4 years + with core web technologies (HTML, Javascript/DOM, CSS)
    * JSP
    * Experience with dealing with structured data formats (arrays, objects) represented using a mark-up language (like XML)
    * Knowledge of web standards principles and practices
    * Understand the intricacies and insanities of cross-browser development.
    * Ability to work independently from assignment through completion
    * An eye for design and layout.
    * Accessibility/usability experience
    * Ajax

    *Desirable*

    * Recent JavaScript API's experience (Dojo, jQuery, YUI, Prototype, Mootools, ExtJS, etc..)
    * Flash
    * Familiarity with IntelliJ (or similar IDE)
