hi guys i had a problem with recoding on my Sky+ box yesterday just wondering if anyone can shed any light on it.

all of my future recordings showed up as failed - it said due to a power cut.
I reset them all again but after a few mins the turned to failed again.
I plugged out the box and turned it on again.
Again I reset the recordings but again after a few mins thye showed up as failed.
    Antone any ideas on this.

Same thing happened me yesterday! When I got home from work all my future recordings came up as 'failed' even though the dates had not yet occurred, you know something due to record next Saturday etc. Anyway, I entered them all again and went out and when I came home last night, they had all come up as failed, missed Springwatch as a result :( Turned the machine off and entered them again, did a few test recordings of shows I wasn't worried about and it all seems ok this morning. How did you know it was as a result of a power cut? Can you imagine if you had gone on holiday and were entrusted with recording all the soaps for someone and came home to that carnage :)

Seems there was a major mess up in sky yesterday, whereby the time and date data being sent out over the satellite went completely haywire. Came home to find all my sky+ series linked programmes in the future showing up as failed due to a power cut, and the Anytime programme menu completely empty. There's a thread over on digital spy about it.

Imagine the carnage is right if you had gona on hols and set a load of things to tape.

i love being able to come on boards and being able to tell myself "so im not going mad then!", yep, it happened to me too, i thought it might have been related to sky bringing out their new EPG and that maybe my download had failed...
