Depending on where in London you are going and what time you get off the ferry.....approx 4 to 4.5 hrs.

The traffic when you go past Birmingham can be a killer.

imo more like 5-5.5 hrs, its a 290 mile journey so basically 3 times the distance of Dublin to Belfast which is approx 100 miles

eurolines bus takes 7-7.5hrs but it does stop off near Birmingham

You need to take your handbrake off when you get off the ferry Rossie :D

Even mappoint gives a time of 4.12 and thats if you stick to the exact speed limits all the way.

I have driven to my mum's (just outside LHR) in just over 3.5 hrs on a good day. I do that journey every 2-3 months and it's never taken me longer than 4.5 hrs. So like I say, it depends on where in London you are going and how lucky/unlucky you are with the traffic.

Edit: Oh.....and depends how you drive. I (ahem) do tend to drive a little bit quick when I get onto the motorways over there:o.
