    erm why would they?

    OP hard drives are very sensitive but rugged equipment, some people get get good abuse out of their hard drive based players, others merely tap the hard drive the wrong way and boom, it's dead.

    it's not just an ipod that will do this it's any hard drive based player.

    well it's hard to tell completely without actually opening up and looking at the actual hard drive, but you don't want to do that.

    as long as it doesn't drop again it should - should being the operative word - be ok.
