Hey just switched from vodafone to 02 there and kept my number.
About an hour ago my phone told me to put the new sim in which I did.

The man in the shop also gave me a sheet of paper which he said will give me €10 'to get started'. When I call 1741 and try to put it in it wont work. The code has 14 digits maybe that has something to do with it??

He actually never explained anything about any call credit id get either..so if anyone could tell me about that it would be great!

There is €2 credit in the phone which came on the sim apparently. Then as soon as I get that €10 thing above sorted ill get that. How much else am i entitled to? I have also registered my details on the website there but again it didnt tell me anything about how much credit im gonna get..?????

Sorry im completely new to 02 have never used it before and neither has anyone in my family so any help is appriciated!!
Also some of the pages on their website wont load for me so i cant really use it for help!

Firstly i think you an entering the serial number, that is a 14 digit number and NOT the topup code, which is 12 digits.

Then i don't think you will get extra bonus credit if you just got a sim card rather than buying credit.

And if you're like me and hate ringing people try the O2 forum - http://forums.o2online.ie - a rep might be able to help you out.

he probably told you too register your phone on o2.ie to get your free bonus registration credit. this can be done by entering your imei when prompted during the Pre pay registration process that can be found on www.o2.ie

To get your IMEI number of your phone, type in *#06# on your phone and it will display on screen
