Hi im a guitarist and was thinking of experimenting with synths and keyboards. I dont know much about them but was thinking of trying some out and maybe bringing it into a band in the future. I came across the microkorg which seems to get a lot of praise. It isnt too expensive either so might be good for an introduction. Has anyone used one here before? Is it any good and could it be used with a band? Thanks

Microkorgs wreck my head! They don't seem to be very user friendly, it's all programme this and patch that.

Korg R3 might be worth a look if you have a bit more cash. Failing that maybe look for an older, second hand synth.

tiny keys is a no no for practical live application, at least for me anyways.

i have a roland sh-201 which i love. proper size keys, way more features and in the same price bracket (sort of)
