has anyone ever had experience of the cluas treatment for Autism, it is quite expensive.

    www.cluas.ie

We are considering it for our daughter and are seeking as much info as possible independent of the cluas people themselves.

    Thanks fro any help.

Hadn't heard of Cluas, so checked the site up. Seems that my sister who has dyspraxia amongst other things had something similar 5-6 years ago, she had special tapes with my mother's voice recorded on them, and her therapist's with soft music, I presume it is something similar to this.

Have you spoken to a speech therapist about this treatment? They might be able to provide a definite answer about it, or suggest a similar treatment that might be more tailored to your daughter.

    Yes,
It costs around €5000 for the full treatment, €400 of which is for an initial assessment to see if the treatment would benefit the child.

I have heard a couple of good reports, but it is very hard to weigh the benefit against the cost.

I'd try posting your query on www.rollercoaster.ie
They have discussion forums and you might find someone on the Special Needs thread who has direct experience of Cluas
