Micheal Strahan Retires.Don't mind the Farve hype this guy is the real deal.everything he did was just done with class. One of the Greatest and the biggest Gentleman in the league. In my opinion one of the Best DEs to play the game. His stats and teammates say it all.

http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80834fbf The announcement and teammates reaction.

    His top 10 moments:http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80834fbf

I'm sad to see him go the NFL loses one of its funiest and most witty guys.Even as an Eagle fan(he sacked Mcnabb more than any other QB in his career) i gotta hand it to the guy.

It always seemed like a good time to step down and I'm not suprised to be honest. It is the same as Jerome Bettis, it is the perfect way to go out as a Superbowl champion. I think he has been a great player and a great guy off the field too so in that respect its a shame but fair play to him

Now all he has to do is kick Kornheiser out of the booth and become a MNF announcer:D

No doubt he will become one of the talking heads i wouldn't class him with Bettis. The Bus ran out of gas i think strahan had a season or two more in him.

I didn't use the Strahan comparassion with Bettis in terms of playing ability I used it because like Elway both retired as winners. As you said Strahan had another season left in him

Canton 2013: Favre, Sapp, Strahan, Larry Allen and possibly Jonathan Ogden if he confirms his retirement.
