Hi I have an old laptop its a winbook 2840 with a cd rom drive. I am looking to upgrade to a dvd rw if possible. My question is are they all interchangeable. The model number on the cd rom is scr-242. I have seen some with the exact dimensions but I am unable to see the interface plug .... are they all the same?

Anyone I've seen has been a standard design that works in any laptop.
